GiveBIG for STSCA’s 50th Anniversary on May 2-3!

STSCA is participating in GiveBIG, a fundraising campaign that takes place this year on May 2-3 and that is powered by 501 Commons to support non-profit organizations in Washington state.

In recognition of STSCA’s 50th anniversary, we have set a goal of $5,000 for our 2023 GiveBIG campaign. These funds will allow us to host delegates from Tashkent to Seattle, complete a book documenting the many accomplishments during the first 50 years of the sister-city relationship, and take on other special projects honoring our 50th anniversary.

Please consider making a contribution to STSCA to support our important work to promote citizen diplomacy and people-to-people connections and to help us lay the foundation for the next 50 years of citizen diplomacy. Your financial support will make it possible for us to continue to make meaningful connections between the people of Seattle and Tashkent. Katta rakhmat (Thank you) for your generosity!

Support STSCA on Giving Tuesday!

November 29 is Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving thanks to people and organizations that do good in the world. Please support the good work that STSCA does by donating to us on or before Giving Tuesday!

We were the first US/USSR sister city established and served as the flagship city and model for dozens of subsequent US/USSR affiliations that formed throughout the U.S. during the glasnost era. We are creating a documentary and a book to mark the milestone next year of our extraordinary 50-year friendship and collaboration with Tashkent!

Our goal is to raise $10,000, with $5,000 each to be applied toward our documentary and book projects.

Thank you/katta rakhmat for helping us to do good! You can donate now in several ways:

  • Click on the orange Donate button in the lefthand menu bar.
  • Go to and click Send.
  • Mail a check to the address at the bottom of this page.
